“A Thanksgiving Story” was made for our church’s Thanksgiving service. The entire project was very rushed as we only had two weeks to create it from the initial concept to presenting it at church. All the images were taken with a digital camera, and edited using Photoshop. The most difficult part of this project was recording the audio as neither my brother nor I knew much about audio recording.
Thankfully, we had recently returned from the SAICFF where we heard some very good lectures about sound and audio recording. We applied a technique that we learned from Isaac Botkin for recording the audio. We set up some mattresses in a sound cubicle shape and recorded the audio inside of them. We recorded the audio directly onto a laptop hard drive with Goldwave and edited with Audition.
The images and audio were assembled in Premiere Pro and exported to DVD with Encore.
